1235

Henry III granted permission for some Dominican monks to construct a dwelling using an old tower as a base, it was called the Priory of St. Saviour.

1266

Geoffrey of Waterford was living at Blackfriars and was a member of the Dominican Order.

The Monastery was dissolved and ownership taken by private gentleman. This was due to Henry VIII’s actions in reformingthe English Catholic Church.
